Handy® Heavy Duty Frame Clamping Machines

Handy® Heavy Duty Frame Clamping Machines for industrial/specialty woodworking offer one- and two-way configurations; available in 5 standard sizes.These clamping machines are used in furniture and cabinet applications for clamping frame component assemblies. The assembly joints are closed tight and clamped under high pressure as the assembly is squared and edges brought parallel.

Handy’s exclusive air pod pneumatic actuator is the main clamping force and can produce assembly pressures exceeding 16,000 lbs. “Interference fit” assembly joints have a very high strength and is possible when retained by the right adhesive.

The machine frame is heavy, fabricated steel, with clamp jaws and jaw plates of cold drawn steel. The speed controls and clamping pressure are fully adjustable ad two-hand operator controls are standard. The Heavy Duty Frame Clamping machine is equipped with Handy Quick-Set™ end stops, which has two pins that can be positioned at 6” intervals.

The Heavy Duty Frame Clamping Machines offer one-way (Model No.970) and two-way (Model 960) configurations. Both models are available in five standard sizes. The legs are adjustable in 3” increments.
