MBD Kerf Saver® Band Resaw
Used in furniture, wood, molding and millwork applications requiring very high blade-tensioning forces, the Kerf Saver Band Resaw has a 36” bandsaw with adjustable feed mechanism. This band resaw makes thin cuts, reducing the amount of wasted wood and provides large material savings for bevel cuts up 45° angles.
The Kerf Saver has a heavy duty steel frame, arc welded for durability and rigidity and precisely machined for accurate component alignment. A variable feed speed and load meter provide proper feeding of the materials. It also incorporates a double feed band system for precision cutting.
The machine feedworks can be automatically centered or set for gauge sawing, and changing from center to gauge sawing takes only seconds. The feedworks will automatically compensate for thickness variations. Each feedworks band has a ¾-HP variable speed DC motor.
The stock capacity of the Kerf Saver is 12” x 12” for vertical resawing and 6” x 6” for bevel cutting at 45°. The feed rate is infinitely variable from 20-150 ft/min. and uses blade speeds up to 8,500 ft/min. for cutting straight, clean cuts.
