Tyler® Model 2400 Multi-Spindle
Panel Router
The Tyler Model 2400 Multi-Spindle Panel Routing Machine is used to manufacture a display panel product known as "slot-wall". A series of parallel "T-slots" are made in the face of wood or composite panels. The panels can be used in the manufacture of store fixtures for displays, and for commercial and residential buildings for display and storage areas.
This panel router can handle panels from 48"×97" x 1½" through 24"×24"×½". The Model 2400 is equipped with six, three-spindle, 3.00" fixed center router heads, which allows for a maximum of 18 simultaneous parallel cuts. The nominal production cycle rate at the maximum panel size is 40 pieces per hour, though production rate varies depending upon workpiece size, density
and cutting tool style.
The Model 2400 is available with router spindles on 3", 4" and 100 mm centers. T-slots can be cut lengthwise, crosswise or at any angle in panels from 1'×2' through 4' x 8', with an optional 5' x 10'. All T-slots are cut in one pass and all cutting is done "from the bottom" to accommodate dust collection and to assure the uniform depth of cuts.
Machine controls include a two-hand station for starting the automatic machine cycle, and push-buttons or selector switches for motor control and machine set-up. The machine also has dust collection outlets at each end of the lower rear side, as well as a cutter access area.
