Tyler® Model 3400 Routing/Milling Head
The large capacity Tyler Model 3400 Routing/Milling Head is used in a range of heavy-duty, large capacity industrial applications for high speed routing or milling of wood, plastic and non-ferrous metals. The spindle drive motor ranges from 7½ hp to 15 hp and spindle speeds range from 7,500 rpm to 20,000 rpm. (The 7,500 rpm speed is not available with the 10 hp or 15 hp, and the 10,000 rpm is not available with the 15 hp.)
The Model 3400 has a high precision hardened tool holding spindle complete with collet chuck, collet nut and one collet. Collet diameters range from ½" to 1½", collet wrenches are also included. The machine is equipped with a TEFC, squirrel cage induction motor for 230 or 460 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hertz power supply. A fully enclosed synchronous HTD belt drive is between the motor and spindle. All router head units are operated with clockwise or counter-clockwise spindle rotation. The high speed spindle units incorporate oil-mist lubricated precision ball bearings (oil-mist lubricator is not included, see optional equipment).
